2011 World Clydesdale Show Announced

The thunder and the roar ... The power and the grace ... The size and the majesty ...

As one of the most filmed and photographed icons, you have surely SEEN them ... now, it is time to EXPERIENCE them!

It's official! The 2011 World Clydesdale Show will return to Madison, Wisconsin in October of 2011. It will be the second consecutive World Clydesdale Show to be held in Madison.

"Madison treated us very well in 2007," says Keith Mann, president of the Clydesdale Breeders of the United States. "The crowds were amazing and the facilities are world class. Though we looked at several venue options for 2011, returning to Madison in 2011 made a lot of sense."

2007 of course was the first World Clydesdale Show to be held in the U.S. in over 100 years. Known as the "Olympics" of our breed, the event is planned to occur every four years. The 2007 event in Madison was highly successful, hosting over 600 of the very best Clydesdales from around the world, and nearly 15,000 spectators. By once again choosing Madison as the host city, the goal is to build on the established momentum 2007 provided with breeders, residents, partners, media and other key influencers.

The venue for the 2011 World Clydesdale Show will once again be the Alliant Energy Center. Dates for the event will be October 20-23, which include an additional day of competition from the last World Show's schedule.

Known far and wide for its unmatched combination of size and beauty, there may be no breed more famous that the Clydesdale. And the World Clydesdale Show will present the awesome power, precision movement and amazing versatility of these ÔGentle GiantsÕ like never before in hitch, halter and riding exhibition.

For young and old alike, the World Clydesdale Show offers edge-of-the seat entertainment with wall-to-wall Clydesdale action. See this magnificent breed up close and personal in the barns, and then experience the thunderous roar of an eight-horse Clydesdale hitch coming down the runway and into the arena! Seminars, vendors, and other exciting entertainment & exhibitions will also be part of what plans to be the biggest event the Clydesdale breed has ever seen!

Dr. Gower has graciously offered to provide to those making qualified donations to the 2011 World Clydesdale Show with the gift of a Clydesdale horse from his own personal Soaring Eagle Farms herd. Details are as follows:

- Any lifetime member of the C.B.U.S.A. making a $7,500+ donation to the 2011 World Clydesdale Show may come to Dr. Gower's farm and pick a weanling or yearling Clydesdale (first come first serve)

- Any lifetime member of the C.B.U.S.A. making a $12,500+ donation to the 2011 World Clydesdale Show may come to Dr. Gower's farm and pick out a two-year old or younger Clydesdale (first come first serve)

- Any lifetime member of the C.B.U.S.A. making a $15,000+ donation to the 2011 World Clydesdale Show may come to Dr. Gower's farm and pick out a mare (in foal) or younger Clydesdale yearling or weanling

This offering of quality Clydesdales is based strictly on a first come first serve condition and is subject to availability (numbers are limited). Horses may be selected, removed from Dr. Gower's farm, and ownership transferred only after indicated level of donation to the 2011 World Clydesdale Show has been received by the Clydesdale Breeders of the U.S.A.

Think this offer is too good to be true? Well, hold on because there's more! Lifetime C.B.U.S.A members who make a qualified donation and choose a Clydesdale (weanling, yearling or two-year old) as indicated above from Dr. Gower's herd, and then exhibit it at the 2011 World Clydesdale Show and win Junior Champion Stallion or Filly, will receive a $10,000 bonus paid by Dr. Gower!

Rules and Regulations
1. Program open to lifetime members of the Clydesdale Breeders of the U.S.A. only
2. Program ends 9/1/11 or when availability ends; all donations/sponsorships must be received by Clydesdale Breeders of the U.S.A. by this date, and all donated Clydesdales to donors must be picked up by this date
3. WCS Sponsorship Challenge qualified donations are limited to first come first serve; once the Clydesdales made available by Dr. Gower for donation to qualified sponsors are gone, the program will end.
4. Qualified sponsors who receive a donated Clydesdale by Dr. Gower must sign an official release before taking possession.
