Online Studbook

The Clydesdale Breeders of the United States is pleased to announce the availability of an online stud book. Access to the stud book is available for no fee for all dues paying members of the association (but you must be a current member to access). This resource allows you to search for horses by a variety of methods, and then view the horses ownership, offspring, and pedigree information.

Access to the stud book is available from the associations web site, www.clydesusa.com, or directly at www.clydesdale.hvyhorse.com. In order to access the stud book, you will need a user name and password; by default your user name is your membership number and your password is the city that you live in. You can find both of these pieces of information on the mailing label from any association mailing (we hope you know where you live, but in case of spelling errors, you'll want to take a look at how it is spelled on your mailing label). You can also find your membership number on the new copy of your membership certificate that was sent with this mailing. Once you have logged in successfully, you can change both your user name and password to something you will better remember. To do this, once you are logged in, click on the 'Manage User' link that is located just to the right of your name at the top of the screen. This will bring up a page that shows your current information along. Click on the 'Change User Information' link on the center of the page, and then enter your new information.
